How it all began
Our story (and the heart behind it)
Paws-itively Purr-fect began with our founders, Debbie and Jon—lifelong animal lovers who grew up surrounded by animals and never outgrew the joy (and responsibility) of caring for them.
Debbie spent over 16 years as a veterinary technician before turning her love for animal care into something even more personal. In 1985, she began pet sitting and boarding pets in Buckeye for local families who needed reliable, loving care. What started as a part-time service grew steadily, and by 2004, Debbie took the leap to run the business full time.
Two years later, she met Jon, who shared her love for animals. Together, we expanded Paws-itively Purr-fect—adding professional grooming and enhancing our boarding and daycare services. Today, we’re proud to be a warm, welcoming place where pets can be comfortable, cared for, and treated like the cherished family members they are.
What we do (and why we do it)
We’re here for the everyday moments and the big ones: the “my pup needs a bath” days, the “I have a long meeting” days, and the “we’re going out of town” days. Our goal is simple: help your pet feel safe, cared for, and genuinely enjoyed.
